• Categorize and label products upon warehousing.​ Store them according to specifications and manufacturing date. The recommended storage period generally should not exceed one and a half years from the date of manufacture.
• Cables must be wound on reels/drums.​ Leave aisles around the cable reels to facilitate inspection and ventilation. Keep the storage warehouse dry.
• Avoid high temperatures.​ Do not leave wires and cables exposed to direct sunlight or in extremely high-temperature environments for extended periods, as this can cause the outer sheath to crack or peel.
• Strictly avoid contact with acids, alkalis, and mineral oils.​ Keep them away from water sources. The outer sheaths of wires are mostly plastic; contact with corrosive liquids can cause the sheath to swell, accelerating deterioration and leading to dangerous leakage. The storage environment must be free of gases harmful to cables, such as corrosive or flammable/explosive gases.
• Cable reels must not be laid flat.​ Long-term storage in a flat position can subject cables to pressure, potentially deforming the sheath and the cable itself. Reels should be rolled periodically (every 3 months in summer; intervals can be adjusted for other seasons). When rolling, turn the reel so the bottom part faces up to prevent the bottom from getting damp and rotting. Regularly check that the cable end seals are intact and undamaged.
• During transportation, never drop cable reels from height.​ This can cause insulation and sheath cracking, damaging the cable's conductive and mechanical properties. During hoisting operations, never lift multiple reels simultaneously. On vehicles, vessels, and other transport means, cable reels must be laid flat and securely fastened to prevent collisions or overturning, thereby avoiding damage to the outer layer or internal structure of the wires and cables.
