Each drum is released with routine test data including conductor resistance to IEC 60228, insulation and sheath dimensions, armour wire diameter and the 3.5 kV / 5 min voltage test for low-voltage constructions. Medium-voltage designs are partial-discharge tested before despatch.
Alongside the cable, the company issues the calculation notes contractors ask for most often: derated buried ampacity for the project soil conditions, armour earth-fault check, and bending radius limits of 15 times the diameter for multi-core and 20 times for single-core cable.
Founded in 1997 and based in Shanghai, Shenghua employs 5,000 to 6,000 people and exports 70 to 80 percent of production, with annual sales between USD 150 and 200 million. Armoured electrical cable is supplied under the Shenghua Cable brand to distributors, EPC contractors and utility frameworks.
Steel wire and galvanised tape supply carries longer lead time than conductor and insulation, so buyers with buried distribution packages scheduled in the next two quarters are advised to confirm drum schedules early.
